Telangana Pilot Program Trains 200+ Drone Operators for Modern Agriculture

Aerosight Technologies, in collaboration with the Government of Telangana, recently concluded a large-scale drone pilot training program aimed at strengthening agricultural capabilities across the state. This initiative represents one of the most significant efforts in India to equip rural communities with UAV proficiency.

The program successfully trained over 200 drone operators, preparing them for real-world agricultural missions such as spraying, mapping, and crop health assessment. Trainees gained hands-on experience with Aerosight’s Beetle Series drones and learned essential skills including flight safety, mission planning, equipment maintenance, and chemical application efficiency.

By empowering local youth, entrepreneurs, and field staff, the initiative is helping Telangana build a strong operational workforce capable of executing high-volume agricultural drone services. The program also supports state-led goals for modernizing farming practices and scaling sustainable mechanization.
